For those of you waiting patiently for updates, there won’t be any until after Christmas. I’m currently taking part in a research project in Oaxaca, Mexico and won’t be posting until I return to Gringolandia.

Digital video recording isn't just for watching that winning goal over and over anymore. Attached to a security camera surveillance system it can help keep your family safe and secure while you're out watching the soccer game. Your surveillance cameras can even be set to send you a message on your cell phone should something come up that needs your attention, more than the game.

A question about migration that I have is whether the US’s stricter enforcement has made it riskier for migrants to return to Mexico, given that it may be much harder to come back. This could mean fewer visits back home and also fewer permanent returns. This could (and I’[m speculating) mean that undocumented immigration numbers would actually increase.

I’m a gringo who has lived in Oaxaca for 8 years and who enjoys very much your blog. If you want to know where the beer and the music are, or whatever, write me, it would be my pleasure to show you about.
