Where’s David?
A second Where’s David challenge for today. This one is definitely more difficult (in fact, I’ll be shocked if anyone gets it). And, to be honest, it’s not really a soccer sight. However, the with a name like Manchester United Methodist Church, it was too good a photo op to pass up. Do you know where it is? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

The following tombstone was in the cemetery next to the church. A relative of Sir Alex, perhaps?

This could be the start of something big. I bet there is a Manchester in most states and a couple of Canadian provinces. And almost all of them will have such churches.
The team should conduct a tour. The churches need to sell kits.
I know that Man City was founded by a women on behalf of a church there but I can’t remember if it was Methodist or C of E.

I say you were in Manchester, Missouri. Also, the denomination is called “The United Methodist Church” So you have Richmond United Methodist Church, Yellow Spring United Methodist Church and turns out you also have Manchester UMC. Oh, I will look around Washington for the D.C. United Methodist Church and send a photo if I find one.
Cheers.

In the US, there are:
5 Leeds
7 Newcastles
7 Sheffields
And who knows how many Colchesters, Scunthorpes, Hartlepools, Southends, Carlisles, and on and on.
That’s quite a few possibilities for English soccer club/United Methodist church partnerships!
